Through a council partnership, Kyabram has had a bold and colourful facelift to their water treatment plant, with a painted mural on the clear water storage tank.

Kyabram join towns such as Devenish, St James, Goorambat, Rochester and more on the Victorian art trail as a link between iconic art pieces in the Wimmera Mallee and Benalla regions.

Renowned artist Jimmy DVate, , who is well known for his outstanding work on the Rochester and Goorambat silos and his advocacy for bringing public attention to the issue of endangered species and conservation, was commissioned to paint a mural on the tank.

The mural has three parts and is themed around native flora and fauna in the Kyabram district. Sections of the art work are visible from Albion St, McCormick Rd and Tulloh/Drum Sts.

This project will help promote Kyabram’s strong community values and long history of native fauna management and its relationship to water in our region.
