People are being asked to think beyond water and share their thoughts on Goulburn Valley Water’s services as part of planning to shape its upcoming 2023-28 pricing submission.
Every five years, GVW is required to submit a proposal to the Victorian independent pricing regulator, the Essential Services Commission, outlining future prices, projects and services.
Managing Director Steve Capewell said identifying what customers valued was important to help GVW determine priorities now and into the future.
“We’re currently in a phase of planning for the future, and we want customers to have their say on what’s important to them so we can build their feedback into our planning as well as our everyday services,” Dr Capewell said.
“We want to balance infrastructure investment with customer needs to make sure we continue to deliver safe, reliable and affordable services.”
This year, GVW is encouraging people to think beyond water when providing their feedback.
“Delivering excellent and affordable water and wastewater services now and into the future is a priority, but we also take our role as a leader in the community to a new level, so we’re also keen to understand how we can support liveability and growth in our region,” Dr Capewell said.
Goulburn Valley Water will be offering a range of opportunities where people can have their say; building on early workshops, focus groups and industry interviews that have already been completed during the early part of the process.
People can complete a survey online, scan our ‘survey on a bottle’ link at participating cafes and restaurants, or invite us to come and speak to your community group or meeting.
People can have their say and stay up to date via GVW’s social media channels or online at gvwater.vic.gov.au/thinkbeyondwater
