Treated wastewater from the Goulburn Valley Water's (GVW) Kilmore Wastewater Management Facility (WMF) will be released into Kilmore Creek as approved by the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) wet weather release approval process.
GVW Wastewater and Recycling Coordinator, Mr Stuart Harris, said GVW will periodically release water into Kilmore Creek over the coming months.
“The release of recycled water is due to higher than usual rainfall triggering a wet weather release under EPA License conditions,” Mr Harris said.
The water being released has been fully treated and meets Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Class C standards.
