Tatura residents may notice increased activity at the Tatura water tower as repair works are carried out in mid-October.

Contrators will be on site from Tuesday 13 October to repair a leak at the tower at the Tatura Water Treatment Plant.

The water tower's storage levels have been lowered to allow works to be carried out safely inside the tower, but GVW has connected booster pumps to ensure a consistent, standard water pressure.

Customers should not notice any changes to their water services, but are encouraged to postpone any high water use activities (lawn watering, etc) from Monday, October 12 to Monday October 19 to minimise any pressure on the treatment plant.

Repairs are expected to be completed around October 15/16, and the tank will be fully cleaned and disinfected over the weekend, before the tower is refilled on Monday, October 19 and back to normal service the following day.

Works have been scheduled to be carrried out before peak-usage times in summer to minimise any impact.
