After a successful 2024 Building Winter Champions through Choose Tap campaign, Goulburn Valley Water is again offering sponsorship support to junior sporting clubs, primary schools, and youth based community groups through the supply of new drink bottles.
Last year over 40 junior sporting clubs, primary schools and youth-based community groups were part of year one and expectations are for an even greater response this year.
Groups are being encouraged to apply for support through the online form, but will need to act quickly as there are only 3000 bottles available through the program. Applications open on April 14 and close on May 16.
Goulburn Valley Water Managing Director Steve Capewell said Goulburn Valley Water’s sponsorship program had become enormously popular as groups moved toward ensuring healthy, environmentally friendly and cost-effective refreshments were available at their events.
“Our winter drink bottle give-away is a small way of supporting junior participants in sport and community activity, while also promoting the Choose Tap message to the next generation,” he said.
Last year football, netball, rugby league and rugby union equestrian, basketball, soccer and hockey teams, along with primary schools, Bonnie Doon Youth Group, Kyabram Blue Light Disco, Girl Guide and Scout groups took advantage of the sponsorship offer.
Any youth-based organisation – sporting or otherwise – can apply for Building Winter Champions through Choose Tap support. GVW will supply all successful applicants with a maximum of 100 water bottles for its membership base.
